Diagnosis
Suspecting a brain tumour a number of imaging methods are available to make a medical diagnosis. Necessary preoperative, diagnostic procedures are computerised tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET), as leading imaging procedures. A detailed classification of the malignant tumour tissue in benign and malignant can usually be resolved through a biopsy and subsequent histological examinations.
