Astrocytoma
Astrocytomas are the most frequent primary brain tumour and can occur in most parts of the brain and occasionally in the spinal cord. They originate on a particula kind of glial cells, star-shaped brain cels in the cerebrum called astrocytes. Within the astrocytomas, there are different types:
- Subependymal Giant Cell Astrocytoma (WHO grade I) Diffuse Astrocytoma (WHO grade II)
- Pleomorphic Xanthoastrocytoma (WHO grade II/III) Anaplastic Astrocytoma (WHO grade III)

Glioblastoma Multiforme (WHO-Grad IV)
